Spirax Sarco, the leader in products and services for steam system solutions sponsored on Friday, March 13, 2015 a collaborative team building and charity event for Saint John’s Preschool boys and girls ages 3 through 4.
The group of 250 employee’s came together to kick off spring with a series of intensely competitive and complex strategic team building activities to earn parts to build classic pedal cars.
“At Spirax Sarco two of our core values are demonstrated through this event. Respect for each other, our environment and our community are central to who we are as a company. We have a passion for working together, for our customers and others in the community. Our employees were thrilled to be able to see the smiling faces of these children and to know that we helped put that smile on their face.” Kim Sizemore, Director of Knowledge Management said.
The United Way of the Midlands coordinated the event and each child who received a car was selected for their involvement in a pre-kindergarten reading program. These children were excited and arrived on-site to receive their ‘Retro Roadrunner’ car. This charity event was the opportunity for the Spirax Sarco team to have fun, collaborate with peers, and give back to the local community.
