Who is it for?
Anyone involved in the day to day running of steam boilers and utility plant including site technicians, boiler operators, supervisors, plant engineers and maintenance engineers.
What is it about
This course is designed to explain why water treatment of steam plant helps ensure it operates safely and efficiently. The aim is to provide delegates with the knowledge and information to help manage and treat the system effectively.
Course objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Develop a practical guide to water treatment operations
- Understand the importance of water treatment guidelines
- Develop schemes to prevent scale, corrosion and fouling
- Understand chemical dosing requirements
- Know how to put in place a boiler water treatment strategy
