Reporting to the Finance Director, SEA, you will lead a small team to manage the full spectrum of financial and controlling function, while providing financial advisory to multiple Business Units (“BUs”) in our Singapore organization.

Main Duties
CONTROLLING AND FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING
- Prepare and review month-end closing, variance analysis, cash flow reporting, to ensure accurate accounting reports are generated for various business stakeholders
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of the Group through TM1 Reporting tool.
- Analyze divisional reports to management and preparation of review materials on financial performance
- Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, statutory and regulatory requirements
- Handle financial year-end audit, coordinate with auditors & prepare the necessary schedules
- Implement accounting policies rolled-up by Group
- Maintain compliance in internal controls, processes, policies and procedures. Suggest improvements when opportunities arise
- Manage tax returns including quarterly GST reporting as well as annual CIT filing. Oversee audit and application for renewal of MES status (5-year cycle)
- Provide guidance to the FSS team in issue resolving and building efficiencies
- Support system implementation/improvements as necessary
ANNUAL PLAN / QUARTERLY ESTIMATES
- Production of the annual plan and quarterly estimates for Singapore BUs
- Ensure that any risks and opportunities to the latest plan / estimates are correctly understood, quantified and reflected in the forecast accordingly
- Preparation of the quarterly reporting reports and any ad hoc reporting requests from the General Manager or Finance Director, SEA
- Partnering with Local Management to ensure that all relevant information is captured and reflected in annual plans and estimates. You will also raise potential challenges and verify any underlying assumptions to ensure the integrity of the numbers
- Ensure accuracy of data and all timelines, processes and controls are adhered to, in line with Group policy
ANALYSIS & INSIGHTS
- Provide the General Manager with relevant and insightful analysis of the business drivers for Singapore BUs through monthly performance reports
- Provide analysis, modelling and forecasts for new cost or business initiatives / investments and track / report on the performance of the initiatives / investments that has been implemented.
- Provide ad hoc analysis, forecasting and modelling as and when required
BUSINESS PARTNERING
- Business Partnering with General Manager to gain full understanding of management and statutory reporting of all related P&L and Balance sheet items
- You will be a key member and contributor to the Local Management Team
- Collaborate on the resolution of any accounting issues and liaising with business as required
STATUTORY COMPLIANCE
- In conjunction with the Corporate Secretary, to maintain statutory records of Board Resolutions
- Be an advisor in matters of local contract, general personnel and ensure compliance with local statutory laws and regulations
- To perform any special projects or tasks as and when assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified CPA / CA
- Degree in Accounting or ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience with initial years in a public accounting firm
- Has prior experience with a fast paced multi-national company (engineering industry preferred) and led a team previously.
- Demonstrates maturity and integrity at all times
- Familiarity with major ERP system, financial accounting, group reporting and taxation. Candidates with prior experience using JDE will have an advantage.
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
- Good organization and analytical abilities
- Strong in Microsoft office especially Excel and Powerpoint
- Has managed a team previously.
